Bonnie Modugno, MS, RD is a registered dietitian in private practice specializing in energy metabolism and sport nutrition. Bonnie works extensively with individuals and families addressing nutrition concerns throughout the lifecycle, with a special focus on maternal, infant and child nutrition. In addition, Bonnie works with teens and older adults with conditions ranging from weight management and disordered eating to other metabolic conditions, including diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Bonnie positions herself as a coach and facilitator, allowing clients to develop an approach to food that works for them.
Bonnie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Foods and Nutrition at Eastern Washington University and a Master of Science degree in Education and Psychology at Pepperdine University. She is a Certified Lactation Educator.
In addition to seeing individual clients, Bonnie taught basic nutrition and sports nutrition at Santa Monica College and UCLA Extension for 15 and 12 years, respectively. Bonnie continues to conduct research and write. She currently presents nutrition workshops and seminars to physicians, physician assistants, nurses, dietitians and other health professionals, corporate clients, and the lay public.
